Janet Gross: “I love to make things; I can’t help myself! I got into woodworking, furniture and cabinet making. That triggered artistic phases in 1/12th scale furniture, wood turning, and picture framing.”

“Involvement in the bison industry during our farming days led to scrimshaw and fibre art. Currently I am working mostly with recycled piano parts to create scrimshaw miniatures with the keys, or whimsical assemblage characters both freestanding and framed. I still do some mini scrimshaw of prairie plants and scenery on bison bone, too. I frame all my own work- handmade from start to finish. Though retired now from Dental Assisting, there are more ideas than time.”
