Janet has made time to pursue her love of art after retirement, mindfully practicing her acrylic painting skills over the past 9 years. She prefers landscapes with particular focus on the sky.
A secondary focus has been birds with a soft-focus background but she is always ready for a challenge or special request. Janet also fits aged barnboard to vibrant images, giving them a new life in many homes. As well, Janet has played extensively with fluid acrylic, pushing the limits to large modified landscapes pours and designs of all sizes and styles.
Janet accepts a wide variety of commissions but she also paints from her own collection of ideas, with many works hanging in homes through the western provinces and a few overseas. She finds great personal satisfaction in bringing joy to others through her work, her teaching and her work on the River and Rail ArtVenture organizing team.
