Kim Olson: “I started sewing at the age of 10 and asked for a sewing machine from my parents as a graduation gift which I used to sew my grad dress and wedding dress. Good investment on their part!”

“My parents owned a craft and hobby store since I was 12, which encouraged my love of sewing to grow. I now own that store but it has morphed into a garden centre, craft shop and quilt store. I make quilts whenever I can to show off the new fabrics that I bring in. Quilting is an addiction, but I love that I can make a blanket for someone else to wrap up in to keep them warm and loved. In the last few years, I have also ventured into bag making, another item I can sew from fabric!”
