Happy at work in her studio in Elbow, Georgia Horsley incorporates both wheel thrown and hand built techniques, producing a variety of utilitarian vessels and sculptural yard decor. She likes to share her many years of creative enthusiasm for clay by offering workshops to the surrounding community.
Her work is handmade of mid range, stoneware clay. The utilitarian pieces are finished with food safe glazes strong enough for oven and dishwasher. The outdoor garden decor is weather resistant. All are made with her love for her craft.
Here she teaches a few classes in wheel throwing and hand building through which she hopes to share her skills and experiences. Her work includes utilitarian pottery, sculptural pieces and different firing techniques. Lately she has been focussing on yard and garden art. Always connecting with other artists and looking for new ideas to explore keeps it fun. She is happy to have found a great space in a welcoming community in which to continue expressing her passion.
