Honour Woodworks

Immerse yourself into a world where every artifact tells a story of creativity and passion.

I love to create! There is always a new artistic phase ahead!

I got into woodworking, furniture and cabinet making well before I had grey hair. That triggered artistic phases in 1/12th scale furniture, wood turning, and picture framing.

Sometimes my frames are as unique and eclectic as the art they display. Involvement in the bison industry during our farming days led to scrimshaw and fibre art.

In my current phase I am working mostly with recycled piano parts, honouring their musical contribution to the past. Piano keys lend themselves perfectly to the scrimshaw art-form in miniature scale. Whimsical assemblage characters emerge from the intricate working parts.

I still do some mini scrimshaw of prairie plants and scenery on bison bone, too. All steps of the framing process happen in my own studio; handmade from start to finish!
